Hi group,

I would like to be able to edit the channel number text (size, color) which is entered directly from the Hauppauge remote. This is the text which is displayed in the upper left corner when GB is in the Live TV mode. I'm using the standard Blue skin in GB-PVR 1.08 classic. I have tried searching the various xml files, but, I haven't been able to locate this specific text.

Can someone tell me where the text attributes are located?

Is there a way to leave the current channel number on the screen instead of it timing out?

thanks,

em

I'm guessing it's part of the LiveTVNewChannelNumber element in gbpvr/skin2/blue/OSD/skin.xml

Code:
<Placement name="LiveTVNewChannelNumber" loc="3,3" size="10,8"/>
...
<CompositeImage name="LiveTVNewChannelNumber" size="10,8">
<DrawRoundedRect loc="5,5" size="90,90" fillColor="#9F000000" borderColor="Transparent" radius="1" borderWidth="0"/>
<DrawText text="@channelNumber" loc="0,5" size="100,100" textStyle="OsdTextVeryLargeStyle" align="Center" valign="Center"/>
</CompositeImage>

Thanks for the quick reply.

You are exactly right and I can easily edit the text in the newest version. But, I need to continue using the "classic" version (GB-PVR) for now. I don't see any similar line in the older files. Is there a corresponding statement somewhere else?

It was hardcoded in the old GBPVR.exe.

As is pointed out above, you can edit this in the new PVRX2.exe interface.

Thanks SUB,

In that case, I'll leave it alone for now. It's a lot clearer and easier to read in the newest version, so I probably won't need to change it when I convert.

One more question: Is there anyway to keep the channel number visible on the screen in X2?

Sorry, but there is plenty of other threads discussing this. See those threads, or http://www.schedulesdirect.org/ for an overview.
