Problems setting up with HDHomeRun unit

I just got the Silicondust HDHomeRun box. I am trying to set up gbpvr for the first time, but can't get it working.

If I try to watch live TV, I get the "Starting timeshit mode TV. Please wait." message... and then "Error: Failure playing back file".

If I trying to record I show, I get a zero duration dvr-ms file.

Is there a log that might direct me where to troubleshoot? Something you suggest I try?

p.s. If I run the SiliconDust HDHomeRun Config application and pick a channel, I can sucessfully watch a live show via VLC.

Did you do the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' thing? ie, scan for channels?

Yes... I didn't want to go through filling in all the tuning requests till I was sure I was doing the right thing. So I have 4 filled in. Here's an example of one from the lower section of the "Edit Recording Source" screen:

T:2,2,1~P:3~V:49~A:52~PMT:48~N:>2.1 Unknown1 (000(AC3))

I don't know if this actually maps to channel "2" yet (I figured I could change that later) as the window in the upper right hand side of the "Digital Channel Mapping" screen was always black... But it did a scan and found 68 channels.

If you tick the 'enable live preview mode' checkbox on the misc tab of the config app, are you able to watch live tv?

Just tried that...
I clicked on "use live preview mode if possible" and that automatically checked
"return from timeshift mode on channel change" and filled in "encoder pass-through" on Deinterlacing...

Just get a black screen. I get the same black screen when I click on "live TV" as well as clicking on "TV Guide" and then clicking on a tv show and then clicking on "watch".

Can you reproduce the problem, with "use live preview mode if possible" ticked, then zip and attach the logs?

Hmmm... not sure which files you need. I did find two with the time of day that matched. But they are too big to send, even zipped. They are:
gbpvr.db3 and config.xml. Zipped they are 9.88MB and the forum limit for zipped files is 9.54MB.

If these are the log files, can I delete them and reproduce the problem (hopefully they would be smaller then)?

Sorry, you'll need to reset the logging level to 'Debug', then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.
