Hello,
I was wanting to find out if ff/rwd is going to be implemented for the new version. I've been awaiting the 1.0 release anxiously for a long time, so it was with a little disappointment that, when it finally arrived, it did so without those 2 basic features! Smile

This is not a rant though, I love the software, and have been using it for over 2 years happily. I'm just stuck at the old version now, because the wife was used to ff/rwd, so all my flailings about how 1.0 was here sort of fell on deaf ears when she couldn't ff through commercials anymore. I'm just nervous because I'm afraid when the whole TV Guide issue with schedulesdirect is resolved with gb-pvr, that only the new version will get the modifications, and then I'll be stuck at the old version *and* no guide! Nooooo!

what do you mean you can still jump 10 seconds at a time or a 1 minute at a time depending on what you set it to
just actual fast forward doesnt work
i just ahave the skip set to 1 minute and reverse set to 30 seconds and fast fortward skips 10seconds
normal adds here are 4 minutes so 4 hits and your done

Hi,
Yes I am aware of the random access jumps, but I just miss the regular ff/rewind functionality, and from reading the forums I see that some others are as well, so I thought I'd just inquire as to whether they were deprecated, or just not implemented in the new version yet.

FF/RW is back for the MVP users in the new 1.0.16 release. FF/RW never worked well on the PC due to limitations with directshow filters I was using, and was disabled by default (in favour of short skip), so I never bothered implementing it in the new PVRX2.exe user interface.

That is excellent news, thanks sub. I looked in the release notes for that, but may have missed it. Anyway, that plus the FontDivisor change to make my fonts a little bigger and I'm good to go!

I did notice that when I set the FontDivisor to 320 (as you recommended to someone else in a different thread) that it does indeed make the fonts a little larger, but they get clipped at the top and bottom on some screens now, like in the update screen for a show. This doesn't bother me any, but I wanted to mention it just to get it out there in case the widget layout algorithm is supposed to be handling it and isn't or something. Anyway, thanks again!

This is the expected behaviour. My skins are only designed to work with the default font divisor (ie, sizes of buttons, list items etc).
