Hi all,

When I try to record off NZ freeview channels, the video is unplayable with massive audio out of sync and jittery video.

I can record off the Sky FTA mux fine (channel one and two), but not off any of the freeview mux's.

Using the cyberlink BDA multiplexer. Have tried them all with no luck.

Have upgraded to the latest version of GB Pvr also. (happend in previous version)

Running windows xp sp2. Twinhan DVB-s 1027 card.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Wondering if it is something to do with different type of audio between sky and freeview?

Any help much appreciated.

Regards
Scott

What version specifically? I'd recommend v5.0.1307.

Do you know for sure if it its is a recording or a playback problem? ie, can you playback a recording in a non directshow player like VLC?

Do you know for sure if you have good reception? ie, do you get good recordings with the Twinhan software on your setup?

Thanks for your reply.

I have version v5.0.3608

Recording won't play back on VLC or xbox media centre. Recordings from sky 1 & 2 play back fine.

Get very good reception, close to 98%.

Thanks

I'd recommend v5.0.1307. People have had some problems with the newer ones.

Have installed this version, but still the same. Video won't play past the first 6 seconds or so.

For me it seems to be all programs on the Freeview channels. What would the difference between the sky 1 & 2 be? Different bitrate or audio type?

how are you recording sky through the input on your tuner card?
if you are recording sky 1&2 is this after they have been through set top box meaning they dont use the mux to be saved

I'm uploading a couple of minute long recording off Freeview TV1, made with the 5.0.1307 mux, so you can download an test the playback of it on your machine (to confirm its not a playback problem at your end). Its about 70MB file and plays back perfectly smoothly for me.
