Remove all of your non-standard plugins.

This should solve the problem...

Then add them back one at a time

It happened doing a fresh install of 0908, are there non standard ones in the base? The way I started over was by running Windows Add/Remove programs then deleting the devnz directory and sub directories. The install steps changed, didn't see the removing part and went straight to copying the new stuff. Are there .dll's that need to be unregistered?

Sub,
Thanks for your advice on setting up the MediaCenter 300i - much appreciated. I added a section in BDA.INI that looks like:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">
[Pinnacle MediaCenter 300i]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Pinnacle PCTV 300i PAL Stereo BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Pinnacle PCTV 300i PAL Stereo BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
[/QUOTE]

However, when I sync the channels with the EPG guide then it doesn't find any channels and then raises an exception (basically saying 0 is an invalid value which I'm assuming is it saying that there aren't any channels to populate the dropdown). I have to confess that I haven't checked the orientation of my aerial (its in the loft and I have an eighteen month old son who sleeps on a hair trigger and I daren't make too much noise upstairs) so I'm not sure of my transmitter but I've tried the likely candiates with no success. The Pinnacle MediaCenter s/w does find the channels OK. Any clues as to what to try next.

Cheers

Sub,
Moral of story 'exhaust all of the forums before posting'

Thanks to (I think Simon and TellyAddict) posts on the support page I tweaked my 0108.ini file as follows:
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">
[TERTYPE]
1=Southern England
2=Mendip
[DVB]
0=6
1=C59,778166,0,0,8
2=C55,746166,0,0,8
3=C62,802166,0,0,8
4=C65,826166,0,0,8
5=C56,754166,0,0,8
6=C67,842166,0,0,8
[/QUOTE]
and am now such a happy bunny its untrue. Thanks to those whose info I used to solve my problem.

I can now play with the TV features of GBPVR, not just see how bad our local weather is and read cartoons.
Early impressions are favourable, thanks sub

Has anyone had any luck with DVB when you have dual tuners in the server PC? The channel scan doesn't find any channels and throws up an error popup at the end. This is when I try it in my HTPC which has a dvico DVBT T1 and a Dvico lite installed. When I transferred the modified BDA.ini file to my study pc which has a dvico lite installed (awaiting new drivers from dvico to let it co-exist with my other lite in my HTPC) the channel scan finds all available channels. I assume this makes a problem with multiple tuners the most likely culprit. One thing is that the filters for the T1 and the lite have the exact same names, could this be confusing GBPVR?

Love the new OSD for the MVP and DVB-T support.

Hi Sub,

Thanks for this release. I'm using a Lifeview Walker Mini, and this is the first release that channel changing works on. Great.

Just a small bug. The first time I go into live tv, after the (unavoidable) pause, the channels change fine. If I return to the root menu, then go back into live tv, changing channels does not update the tuner, and it always displays the same original channel.

I get the same effect in Timeshifting TV mode. The tuner does not get updated.

When playing a little while ago with graphedit, I noticed that the walker would not allow me to change settings while the pins were connected. I would have to remove all the pins, change the tuned channel, then connect all the pins again. I'm guessing that the problem with gbpvr is related.

Thanks again

Sub,

Great work. Like many others in this thread I had a little trouble. I found that my PVR-150 operates much better than in previous release. One side note about the MVP. I've found that if I set the X/Y to 620/420 ( what I've had it at in previous releases) the recording service will not start, neither the config. 600/400 seemed to be the trick, though it leaves a black border on my TV.

I am still seeing the NetRadio and other files installation thingy. If I delete any file and run GBPVR or CONFIG, the MSI installer restarts and readds those files.

My results are the MVP is much more responsive. THANKS!

Tipstir

All that pain is unnecessary. I just loaded 0908 on top of 2313 and then removed a few plugins from the config tab. All is working great, including my EPG.

But maybe I am missing something. What new features are you seeing that you like?

S.
