I was beating my head against the wall, wondering why things didn't work.

I looked at the version .dll, and it was 1.0. So I RE-downloaded the GameZone_v13.zip file, and still got just 1.0 out of it.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are having problems with the Gamezone.dll
I have just downloaded the file from the wiki and it has a file dated 17/07/2007 and its 1.3 version.

Do you have multiple versions of gamezone, say one in the plugin directory and one in a directory within the plugin directory that are different versions?

Also how are you ascertaining that it is version 1.0? I checked on the title of the config app.

Cheers

Sorry, I was looking at the Version you see when you right click on the .dll. In config it says 1.3.

I never get any games listed. I have several .nes games and mame .zip files. (In their own folders. One for NES and one for MAME) Nothing ever shows up.

Ok, lets start with Mame,

Look in the directory

SYS:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\Paths\Mame

And in there you should see at least one file, open the file with wordpad and inside it should look similar to this:

zip;C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\Mame\roms

in the line above the character ; is used as a delimiter between the two paramers

Extension: zip
Path to ROMs: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\Mame\roms

now check what you have and if you are not sure then send me the files, but this should help you.

Cheers

Ahh... I had .zip. I had looked at this file... but never realize the (.) would cause an issue.

My NES games work... My Mame files are listed, but don't run.... but I'll dig more later. Thanks.

Good at least progress has been made.

For the use of the dot it is the delimiter to distiguish between the filename and the extention and not part of the extention itself. the wiki shows a detailed configuration guide to adding a "PC Game" that would have implied the solution.

As for Mame there are a couple of threads in the GameZone sub-forum that discuss how to clarify that you have the complete ROMSET as Mame version continue change the files required in ROMSETs and therefore what worked on one version doesnt mean it will work on the next Sad

Cheers
