I've been using GBPVR ever since I got a Hauppauge PVR 150 card for Fathers day a couple months ago.

Mostly GBPVR has worked fine for me. I'm running it off a 3.0 Ghz Dual Core box, 2 GB of memory, Windows Server 2003... et al. I've got Charter Digital Cable but I'm really only using it for the first 77 analog stations. I haven't figured out the IR Blaster portion yet.

My question is, now that Zap2it is defunct I need to get a new EPG listing. Yapi2xml seems to be an ideal option but for some reason it won't run at all. Whenever I run the executable it errors out with the error "Run Time Error '76', Path not Found" I look at the log file and all it says is:

"----------------------------------------------
Version: 1.2.0 Starting: 30 Aug 07 17:34:24"

I'm pretty computer literate. I built this server just a couple months ago, I have a SCSI RAID 5 setup for the boot partition, and another partition that is RAID 0 for the DVR portion.(and another assorted TB+ of external and IDE storage)

My guess is that either one of two things is happening. Originally I installed GBPVR on the RAID 0 partion.(The D: Drive) After a couple days of having most of the third party apps not function correctly, I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it to the RAID5 C: Partition. I've got some issues with disk space. The RAID card I'm using is an old AMI Megatrends card that works very well, but only supports boot partitions of up to 8GB. And Windows 2003 is such a disk hog that I've been trying to keep most of the applications off of the primary OS partition. So possibly something in my install, then reinstall has left registry fragments so that this program can't find GBPVR, in which case it's probably fixable.

Or it just doesn't work with Server 2003. Has anyone here been using it with Server 2003? This isn't just a "Home Media" PC for me. It's also my primary file server, applications, development, FTP, Roaming Profiles... My wifes accounting software runs off of it, and I've setup shares for my wife and kids as they log onto the network. So taking it down and rebuilding it from scratch is an option, but it would be stressful.(Whenever I mess w/her accounting software it's stressful)

I still don't know as much about this software as I'd like, and I'm constantly reading and learning... I usually take a couple months to scout out this stuff before I start posting. So anyway... here's my first post. Any suggestions?

*Edit - Also I've tried both version I could download

-Oz- Wrote:That is a Yahoo problem. They just don't have a listing right now for Dish Network Phx. You could try useing the national listings and then using cox to get the local channels and then remapping them to match.

Thanks, however, even selecting the national network (DISH/Directv) doesnt work, I even used the 1.2.0 version, but still have the same problem, re-attaching the log file

I've made a special version just for you. I think I know what its doing. I sent you a private message with the link to download it. Run that one, you will get the same error but the log should have a little more information for me.

I think because I've only tested with xp when it tries to move one of the dlls over it has an issue. If thats what it is (and the special version will tell me). Then its an easy fix and we'll have you good to go before 9/1.

Here is the next version I'd like you try. I think it'll work. If it does I'll make it a general fix for the next release but you'll be able to use your special version: http://www.epgtools.com/gb_devs/ski098.zip

Ok,

It'll run on the Windows 2003 Server now. But it's timing out when it tries to download the schedule.

Here's the latest error log info. It looks like it's trying to create the schedule.zip file. But I'm not sure why it won't populate it completely.

Fixed! Just need to import to GB-PVR

I got these errors, but for Comcast in Hillsboro:

Code:

18:14:01 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 6/5
18:14:01 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found; all retries failed.

I'm in 97124. What I did was I exited the program, and went back in. Clicked the "Load Settings" button, and then "Get EPG" and it worked just fine.

Maybe there's a slight problem about finding the settings file?

Yeah, this is driving me crazy. I gave up trying to get it to work on my Windows 2003 Server, just running it off my laptop to get the xml and I can manually copy it to the server just to get the EPG updated for today...

But it's not working on my Windows XP Laptop either.

It's pretty odd. I've attached my log file from my XP Laptop. I tried several different areas to download data from and none of them worked.

I'll probably mess around some more on it while I'm working tomorrow

Those errors are because the yahoo server doesn't have or isn't forming the file correctly. It has nothing to do with the program. My suggestion is to keep trying and I'll see if I can load your provider in the morning.

Most likely Yahoo just wasn't sending the file correctly. Maybe i'll make it pause longer to cover for server hiccups like that.
