For months I've been converting MPEGs to XVIDs with no issues. Suddenly over the past few days, it hasn't been running. It's not waking the machine, either (although other events are waking the machine -- like for recording.)

I've attached the logs (I wasn't sure which ones were needed, so I zipped the whole logs directory. Hopefully that's not too much.)

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help; I'm running out of disk space!

Thanks.

Don't know if it's related, but the other day, GBPVR.exe went nuts and consumed over 800 MBs of virtual memory. No idea what that was about.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this is v0.99.12.

Found this in the logs after I posted. There are lots of instances of this error. Anyone know what's up?

Code:

I'm guessing you've somehow ended up with an invalid file name in the conversion queue. I would have thought restarting the recording service would clear it out. If not, you might need to download one of the many SQLite database editors and empty the table in the database that contains the list of files to convert. (the table name escapes me at the moment)

Looks like it's TRANSCODE_QUEUE. How does that get repopulated? Can I add items to that table manually if I want to force it to convert some files that it missed before?

I removed everything in that table, but when the time came to reconvert, nothing happened.

It should automatically add entries to that table each time it completes a recording. If it doesnt start working for you, I'll look into it when I'm back from my holiday.

Ah. Okay, I was hoping it would pick up existing recordings that hadn't been converted yet. I'll wait and see if new ones get converted.

In the meantime, if I manually transcode a recording from Video Library, will that respect the "Auto Delete" and "Auto Update Database" settings from the nightly encoding? If not, is there a way to force it to use the new .avi file instead of the mpeg?

Thanks a bunch, sub. I didn't realize you were still on holiday! Please, take a break! Smile
