Hi
I'd like my son to be able to connect to the hard drive on my computer where I have my GBPVR recordings from his computer in his bedroom. The recordings are on a 500Gb IDE hard drive but when I set it up to allow sharing I cannot connect to it from his computer - I get a dialogue box up saying there is not enough server storage. If I put shared access on my other hard drive (160Gb SATA) there is not a problem with my son's computer accessing it. Is the size of the IDE drive a problem or is there a way of working round this? I'd like to use the larger drive as the 160Gb one fills up rather quickly!
Cheers

What OS have you got on the server and your son's PC?

I share my recordings directory and it's a 500gb drive. Try sharing the gbpvr directory rather than the root directory (if you are)??

Ah - googling shows this is a known problem. http://www.pcdoctor-guide.com/wordpress/?p=174

Thanks for the link - I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.
Many thanks again.

Norton makes this problem worst btw. So if you have it, get rid of it.

Also un-check the "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)" option in the folder options.
