Anyone else find this as funny as I did? Big Grin

I tried to set this up last night and got the same retry errors people are referring to. I'll try again tonight.

In Config, I edit capture source, empty EPG, and remove all channels, then in channels tab, Remove unreferenced channels. There are 4 channels that will not go away. In the TV Guide, those 4 channels appear out of order, after the others.

Just found a related thread in Support section: I still have recordings from those channels and for some reason the channel info is needed.

Looks as if I am having the same problem as everyone else. Loaded 1.2.3 before the weekend (didn't have time to test it til now). it looked like it was going to run, but after a few minutes I got no .xml file (i did get an .ini file) the schedule.zip is only 1k, and the error I get is schedule file is either missing or corrupt. Not sure why some people are getting it to work and other cannot. could it be directv - denver? I enter 80116 for the zip and directv - denver for the choice. My logs look like:

Version: 1.2.3 Starting: 04 Sep 07 21:36:46

21:53:51 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 6/5
21:53:51 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found; all retries failed.

Am I missing something really simple? Please help want to watch my PVR

p.s. i don't care about previous recordings just going forward so what ever you suggest to do i will do that.

For everyone who is having "all retries failed" errors, it may not be an issue with the grabber. Yahoo may not have the listing you are trying to get anymore. Using their own Go4TV program, I cannot get listings for half of my providers.

For me, no local D* lineups are available. Only one of the national D* lineups are available. My basic cable lineup is available, but my digital lineup is not.

Edit:
According to Go4TV, these listings are available but Go4TV always errors when trying to download them.

It does appear to be a problem on Yahoo's end. I kept getting the "all retries failed" error, but about 24 hours later it suddenly started working. The daily update has also worked correctly yesterday and today. Smile

WOOHOO seems to be working. Updated the EPG through GBPVR config. Put the upgradeepg.bat in the GBPVR directory. My question is what calls that .bat file? Do I need to put a reference to it some place?

Thanks OZ for the app. Look forward to many hours of great viewing.

Ya, how does gbpvr know to call the file?

GB-PVR checks for the existence of gpvr\UpdateEPG.bat. If it exists, it is run automatically before the EPG import functions.
