Hi lstepnio,

I believe that's been fixed in 0.5.1f which is posted 5 posts above this. If not, send the output andI'll take a look at it.

Hi stattik,

That new version worked! Thanks.

However, on my first actual run through of transcoding, there doesn't seem to be an option to change the resolution or to limit the file size etc. Is that at all possible using this?

EDIT: Two files worked perfectly, however the third one crashes mencoder, a "bad header". Any ideas/should I get a newer version?

Just found your plugin and I think it's great. A couple of questions. I am trying to use your plugin to transcode HDTV .mpg recordings to a smaller file size (500-600mb). How can I setup the plugin to always use twopass when used as the postprocessing.bat file? Or can I write a postprocessing.bat that will call the plugin with the proper parameters? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi skate15e,

SET profile=twopass should do the trick.

Add the following to your postprocessing.bat

C:\path\to\stattik_transcode0.5.1f %1 <--Don't use any spaces on the path.

I think i have it setup correctly but still no transcoding. The process starts (.info) file but then it never actually creates the new file. I have attached the .info file, the postprocess.bat, and the stattik_transcode_0.5.1f files. If I drag and drop the file it transcodes fine.

You have:

SET directory_monitoring=no

It needs to be set to yes to run automatically.

-stattik- Wrote:Hi masteriiz,

Thanks for the addition. I tested it on one DVD and it worked fine. I'll add it to the next release. I do have a question though.

You define dvdrip_default_sub_lang but I don't see it use anywhere? Did you have a role for this?

Sorry for the late response. I would like to set it to a default language, so as to when it is available it should be used for subtitles. However i am a native /bin/ksh speaker, and this .bat programming is giving me headaches.

The problem is have is the following: The call to mencoder uses a number to specify the language (which i dump from the .info file and then the user response is simply added to the call). However these numbers might change per DVD, so in one DVD dutch subtitles are numer 1 and in another it is number 2, or there might be none available at all. So the default should be set to a two letter country code and not to a numeric value, and then there should be a section checking this against the available languages and then work with the resulting number identifiing the subtitle language.

Now I can see how it should be done: By checking for the default language, taking that string and then stripping everything that is not the numeric subtitle identifier from it. But so far this resulted in empty strings and is giving me headaches, so the option doesn't function.

Here is the link. Drop it in the mplayer/mencoder folder.

Help please. I cannot get this to work. I set the directories information then I dragged and dropped a file on the processor. It creates the .info file but then it does nothing.
I have included the part of the transcoder that I changed and the info file
Thanks
