Trying to open Live TV and I get an error:

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Looking through the logs I found:

From GBPVR.exe-native.log:

20:02:58.765 ERROR Failed to find color converter filter

From GBPVR.exe.log:

I am using a AverMedia M150 card that has been tested in a different computer and worked perfectly with GBPVR.

I get the same problem too. I am using Hauppauge Win TV USB2.

I was able to watch live tv before i upgraded to the latest version that was posted recently 0908? I can record ok, but i cannot watch live tv. Previously with 2318? my EPG didn't update, now i have EPG, but no live t.v.

Also, when i fast forward when watching recordings, i can't seem to get it to play at regular speed and my audio is gone.

Otherwise, GBPVR is really cool. Thanks sub!

I'm getting the exact same error using a Hauppauge PVR-150MCE. Any help is appreciated! [Image: smile.gif]

I get this, too. It usually happens if I have done a system restart. Sometimes it just hangs on the timeshift screen.

I close the window, restart the recording service, and then open and close the config window (the 2nd of the last two may be enough alone). Sometimes it can do it one more time, but it always fixes it.

Once I've had that problem and fixed it, it never happens again unless I restart the whole system (never seems to happen if I reboot gbpvr).

It seems like the recording service is starting very slow after boot, or just not fully becoming aware. It's like needing to tap a failing starter to get a cold car started.

I can't wait until Sub comes back from his trip on tuesday.

I hope he has an answer for this error object reference thing.

At least I'm able to record the superbowl game.

hey did you record the superbowl on GBPVR? If so, how was the quality. Some of my friends said taht fast action made them feel a little 'dizzy' while watching it on the GBPVR--how about you?
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Yes, but I had the record quality set below the live quality, but I expected that. I did turn it up a little after that, for taht reason.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (tipstir @ Feb. 07 2005,10:27)]Run Registry Clearner/Fixer program
Run Defrag
Reboot
Install 908 but this time a fresh copy
Now Live TV will work

Unplug all MVP 1000 units wait 30 mins then reconnect the power to it. Clears out the ROM/RAM buffer.
Thanks for the info.

What registry/cleaner fixer program?

Thanks

If you get this error about the color converter not being present, disable the 'live preview mode' setting on the config app, then the livetv should behave as it did in previous releases.
