I just upgraded to 1.0.16 and ended up with the Unhandled exception problem as others. Weird since it was not a problem with 1.0.8. Thanks to cybrmage for finding the problem. I updated the iMONVFD.dll file and included it below. Just copy this file over the .dll file already in your Plugins/iMONVFD folder. Please let me know if this does not fix the problem, it seems to have taken care of it on my setup.

I gave a quick test to both the versions: one from cybrmage and one from skate15e. Both solved the problem that I was seeing.

I'll be doing some better testing over the next week.

Thanks both of you.

Well I installed on 1.0.16 and it shows up in my plugins list alright.

I was able to set the Inital text to MY PVR & MEDIA CENTER fine, when I stat GBPVR is shows that text, but when I goto Live TV or anything it doesnt change from the inital text..

I am currently using 0.7.5 and have the VFD from the ANTEC Fusion case. I have disabled the VFD util so its not interfering..

Should I be seeing the display updated when I go into live tv or netradio etc etc ?

Thanks BTW

Yes you should see different displays for liveTV, audio, video, etc. Try the latest version v0.81 (located here http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1187838315) and let me know if you have the same problem. btw, I have not tested netradio so I am not sure if that will work with the display...I think it will as long as it is treated like an audio file.

I currently use LCDSMartie, and stumbled on this post (literally) and decided to give it a shot. I have installed it, copied the newer dll file over top t\of the one installed. Went into config, made sure it was enabled, changed the scroll speed, just to change something, started up pvrx2 and nothing comes up on the VFD. I have an IMON vfd that connected to my parallel port using hd??.dll in LCDSmartie. Do you know if your plugin is comatible with all IMON vfd's? Also when I click on the IMON VFD on the main menu, the menu fades away, vaguely comes back and nothing comes up until a hit a key on the key board or remote. Once I do that, it goes back to the main menu. Not sure whats up with it and what I did wrong, wondering if you guyss can point me in the right direction to fix it. Thanks for any ideas!

First, there is no menu associated with the iMONVFD button that shows up on the menu. If you go to the plugins tab in config and uncheck the box next to the iMONVFD plugin. This button will go away on your menu, however the plugin should still work. As for displaying information...I am using the iMONVFD on a USB port. My program uses the SG_VFD.dll file to write to the display. As long as your display uses this .dll it should work. On a similar note, did you make sure to copy the SG_VFD.dll to the windows\system32 directory? It is not automatically copied when you install the plugin.
If that doesn't work, post the model number of your VFD and I will see if there is an API for it.

Has anyone tried this program on the Antec Fusion Black case, which is the LCD version of the iMON VFD as opposed to the actual 2-line VFD version. Tried this recently, disabled the VFD program to prevent interference, but running it with PVRX2 doesn't do anything. Oddly enough, trying to watch recordings or videos with this plugin enabled causes nothing to show up. Sounded like a promising program. Might be just my version of the iMON LCD display that doesn't work well.

Mine is similar to this one:

and not this one, which I think your Silverstone might use:

It seems to work now somewhat in pvrx2 but not in GBPVR. I am fairly new to gbpvr and not sure why by pvrx2 doesnt seem to run all my media where gbpvr does.

In gbpvr it does seem to set the title and info line but nothing else after that

Yes I did copy the file to the system32 directory. I'm not sure how to tell what the version is. I got it with a silvertstone lc-03 case.
