I've also been unable to access guide data since the Sept 9 (File corrupted error). I've changed the time of download several times with no success. I know I need to "wait and see", but thought it may be worth mentioning.

Oddly, this morning, it appeared to begin to download -- and said it was -- for about 5 minutes, then reverted to the regular error. See the times in the log snip below:

Code:
Version: 1.2.5 Starting: 12 Sep 07 07:26:31
07:26:31 - Current Provider Code: PA37873-
07:26:37 - 70 channels - downloading schedule
07:31:38 - Error: Error downloading schedule file. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 1/5
07:31:44 - Error: Attempting to redownload schedule file. Try 1/5

Interestingly, I saw the same behavior a few minutes ago. (I got the EPG once a few days ago, and now I'm moving the BAT file into the gbpvr directory to have scheduled updates)

Also funny, it seems to give it an extra try....
09:35:18 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 4/5
09:35:18 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 5/5
09:35:23 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 5/5
09:35:23 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 6/5
09:35:23 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found; all retries failed.

Yeah sometimes when you hit 'Get EPG' the program hangs for 5 minutes (you can't exit and GUI won't refresh), then it starts the retries and finally gives up. Not sure what's causing the hang when you try to get the EPG but there's no progress indicator as to what is going on until the 5 minutes pass. pointlisse's log is what I see when this happens.

I was able to d/l my Comcast Digital listings yesterday evening (manually) so it's like Don says, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what time you can get the listings from them.

Is it possible that the Yahoo API is returning a suggested next d/l time and if you don't use that to get new listings, they won't provide them? Like a window of time that you can request the next day? zap2it returned a suggested next d/l time when a user d/l'd listings (to spread out usage) but I don't think they enforced it for a given IP or login.

I've had this and have no idea why. Its something with how it pulls from Yahoo's servers.

I had one day where I didn't get data at 7am but it worked this morning.

I'm having the same difficulty...
So I dug through the code to try to find the url - and I found this:
http://api.digitalhomeservices.yahoo.com...country=us

(I added my provider code I found in the yapi2xml.ini file)

When I visit that here is what the page displays:
BEGIN 0 END

I'm getting the same problem:

Code:
18:22:01 - 68 channels - downloading schedule
18:22:01 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 1/5
18:22:07 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 1/5
18:22:07 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 2/5
18:22:13 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 2/5
18:22:13 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 3/5
18:22:19 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 3/5
18:22:19 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 4/5
18:22:25 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 4/5
18:22:25 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 5/5
18:22:31 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 5/5
18:22:31 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 6/5
18:22:31 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found; all retries failed.

And I used cbutera's URL, but substituted my provider code (VA54903-). Got the same response: BEGIN 0 END

Curiously, I noticed that no matter what I put in the provider code parameter, it returns that same message. Could the provider code (or its format) be incorrect?

My provider is Comcast standard. Not sure if that's relevant.

There is a definite difference between what you posted and what I posted. And that url is just to get the channels, it always gets the channels. Its getting the schedule itself that is wishy washy.

Your provider code isn't VA54903- its VA54903 (no dash). The dash is added by yapi2xml so that it doesn't crash if it gets a -X for digital.

Yeah, I tried it both ways. But the URL you posted above DOES return results (the channel listings). But "download and parse listings" has been returning the the "schedule file corrupt" error for a couple of days now.

Ahh...but wait. Now when I try cbutera's link, I also get listings (if I put in **my** provider code). Oh wait. The only difference between the two URLs is the device paramter. With device=X I get what is obviously the digital listing; without it I just get the standard lineup.
