I downloaded the latest version today and installed. During installation I got the following error:
"Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PsiParser.ax failed to registery. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel."

Tried twice with the same result. I looked in the history of the forum but a lot of those were post-installation errors (with transcribing) and nothing with 1.0.16. I've had version 1.0.9 running mainly fine (could not record live TV) and was updating for zap2it replacement. Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem. Make sure to download and install GBPVRBackendCommon.zip and vcredist_x86.exe from this site. Read the v1.0.16 survival guide sticky.

Hope this helps.

Ok - did some investigation. Turns out with depends (http://www.dependencywalker.com) that PsiParser.ax is dependent upon the files msvcp80.dll, msvcr80.dll, and dwmapi.dll (although that is a delay load file). I'll just have to assume that those are not shipped with 1.0.16. Are we expected to have those? According to Microsoft's DLL Help Database (http://support.microsoft.com/dllhelp/) those are only shipped in VC 2005 Professional. Let me know if you need anymore information.

You need the vcredist package.
