zap2it EPG Not working?

Did zap2it stop thier Service? I'm running version 99.12 I can update when I get home but I just wanted to make a quick recording when I noticed that my EPG was blank. when I try a manual update I get an error about not finding the address. When I got ot check my account labs.zap2it.com no longer exists it just takes me to the main page.

What can I do about this without upgrading and if its still a problem after the upgrade what do it do?

Zap2It Labs shut down on Sept. 1st. You can sign up at Schedules Direct for $15 per 6 months (recommended). A price reduction is planned but it depends on the number of people who sign up. You can use XMLTv to pull the listings.

The free grabbers require more work. All Yahoo based grabbers are useless so don't bother trying them.

Since so many people are asking about Zap2It, any chance we could make one of the posts a sticky? I think this question gets asked and answered at least every other day if not every day at this point.

I second the motion to sticky a "labs.zap2it.com" thread. I guess some people just don't check their EPGs very often. I'm surprised anyone missed out on the last 3 month furor throughout the Web, though.

Are they at least reliable, more so than zap to it? Are you familar with titian tv, they are more reliable than zap2it was, would you say they are near that?

It kinda sucks to pay for listings but what are you gonna do, why oh why did I get so attacked to program recording!!!

I agree with jmontana. I didn't search but I expected it to be on the first page if it wasn't a sticky. It needs to be up there.

Thanks Guys I'm back up and running free for now. I'll check into direct but I'm not quite sure yet. Maybe if/after I get Uverse and find a sutible IR blaster.

I'm off to upgrade to the latest, wish me luck.
