Not sujre if I am posting in the correct place or not.
I run GB-PVR 99.12. I installed I-xmltv4SD to the c:\I-xmltv folder. Then copied xmltv.exe and xmltv.dtd to c:\I-xmltv folder. When I double click on the --configure.bat file... I am not prompted for the time zone or user id, password or lineup. It just runs and then closes the dos box. Looking at the xmltv.log file I get the following Code: Timezone is -0400 What does this mean? Looking at the I-XMLTV log I get an error 62. Here is the whole message. Code: Sat 09/22/2007 21:34:14.01 Would I be btter off starting from scratch wit hthe new version of Gb-PVR or can someone help me out? Thanks in advance. Tim

Also, since when clicking on a batch file, the dos box goes away when finished, it would be better to run from cmd prompt... Rather than clicking on the --configure.bat file, open a cmd prompt (Start --> Run --> cmd) cd c:\i-xmltv then type --configure on the command line if there are any error messages, you will be able to see them.

If I delete the c:\i-xmltv directory.. won't it delete all the files in it? I deleted the directory. Starting from scratch here is what I did:
Created a directory c:\i-xmltv Extracted I-xmltv4SD.zip to the directory above Extracted xmltv.exe and xmltv.dtd from xmltv-0.5-win32.zip to the directory above Did start > cmd > Changed to the c:\i-xmltv directory typed --configure The batch file prompts me to hit any key. Which I do. I am never prompted for my schedules direct user name, password or lineup. What am I doing wrong?

When you run the configure program, does it immediately return to the C: prompt after the pause? You might try commenting out the @Echo off command at the top of the --configure.bat file. The process will echo out each line as it executes. You can then trace to exactly where your problem is. If you happen to get down into i-xmltv.bat, you may have to comment out the @echo off line in that batch file as well.

TimCoe Wrote:Looking at the xmltv.log file I get the following From the error it sounds like you don't have the correct folder structure inside the I-xmltv folder. You should have a folder named share and inside that folder should be a folder named xmltv. If these don't exist then you probably extracted the zip files incorrectly and didn't allow the folder structure to be reformed. Inside the I-xmltv folder are the following folders: Share AddOns TestIt When you extracted the I-xmltv4SD.zip file these 3 folders should have been inside the I-Xmltv folder. A new folder named .xmltv is created inside the I-xmltv folder once the --configure.bat file has been run. This .xmltv folder contains 1 file that is the configuration setup for I-xmltv. If you have problems with the configuration you can just delete the .xmltv folder (which deletes the configuration file). So if you run the --configure.bat file again it will force the batch file to recreate the .xmltv folder and the configuration setup file inside it. Tim

Tim.....
Thanks so much for your help. You were absolutely correct the folders were missing. I did not have extract folders checked in WinZip. Once I corrected that problem.... followed the instructions from the wiki and everything worked as described. Made a few test recordings and all seems well. Next test is to see if it updates daily. My wife is happy that we are up and running. ![]() Thanks again for taking the time to help Tim

Question regarding the number of lineups. I am trying to configure 3.
I tried SET NumberOfLineups=3 in the UpdateEPG.bat. Here is the content of UpdateEpg.bat: SET NumberOfLineups=3 call c:\i-xmltv\i-xmltv.bat The issue that I see is that the i-xmltv.bat has a parameter: SET NumberOfLineups=1 It appears that setting the NumberOfLineups to 3 in the UpdateEPG.bat file is being overridden by the NumberOfLineups of 1 in the i-xmltv.bat file. Does SET NumberOfLineups=1 need to be modified or removed from the i-xmltv.bat file? Should I just set it to 3 in that file instead?

On the wiki page for this special install... http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/I-xmltvForSD Edit only the i-xmltv.bat. Your gbpvr\UpdateEPG.bat should only have this one line... Code: call c:\i-xmltv\i-xmltv.bat These instructions supersede other instructions which tell you to copy the UpdateEPG out of the I-xmltv folder into the GB-PBR folder. Once you have edited the i-xmltv.bat to reference 3 lineups, then run --configure.bat
