Hi, I just started using gbpvr but am having some trouble setting it up with my capture card, a kworld video magician v1. I know that it has the generic conexant 2388x chipset and supports mpeg2. The main problem though is that I am getting a pin connection error when I run the tuning assistant, but it'll still run thru the channels and I get video and audio, and when I go into pvrx2 it comes up with a blank screen and goes back to the channel line-up. I have attached a .zip with images of my direct.ini, GraphEdit, and the error. Thanks in advanced for any help I can get.

Are you sure this device has a hardware MPEG2 encoder? It doesnt look like it. If it did, then usually it'd have an encoder filter that is connected to capture filter.

Now that I'm looking over the specs of the card again it looks like I misread them a little bit and it seems it only supports MPEG1/2/4 and doesn't have a built in encoder. So I guess then can anyone recommend a good budget($40-$55) HD capture card that does have an onboard MPEG2 encoder?

Its probably not in that price range, but I'd buy either an HVR1600 or and HVR1800.
