It launches a command window at the location of the batch file, but it doesn't run. Right now I have to go in and manually update my EPG by running the batch file, then telling GB to update the EPG. I'm guessing somehow it is forgetting to pass in the batch file to cmd. Any ideas?

Are you talking about a UpdateEPG.bat file? If so, post the contents of it.

Most people make the mistake of not setting the directory in the batch file, so the commands or config files they're trying run arent found so processes fail to run and the batch file exits almost immediately.

Any batch file does this, I'll try to post the contents later on tonight when I have time. Thing is, it doesn't ever run the batch file. It opens the command window at the current directory, but never actually runs the batch file. It leaves the command window open.

Ok, it's actually the I-XMLTV batch file, but instead of posting the contents of it (quite large), I can tell you that this batch file:

echo works!!!!!!!!
pause

works properly on any other machine. Launched from my pvr machine, I get a command window based at whatever directory this batch file is located at. I can then type in the batch file to run it and it works fine. This is of course considerably less than ideal. Any ideas?

Are those commands in a batch file called UpdateEPG.bat or are they in another batch file that is called by UpdateEPG.bat?

What I was asking is:
Is the batch file actually named "UpdateEPG.bat"?

Edit: It might be an idea to put UpdateEPG.bat and any other batch file you use in a zip file and attach it. That way we could try it to see if we get the same result.

Did you check the PATHEXT system variables and make sure .bat & .cmd are in there?
