Well, I'm @ work right now and for some reason my PVR dropped off my network @ home, so I can't get to it at the moment. I can however tell you that I have tested my I-XMLTV batch file and several others on at least 2 other computers and they work fine. Run them on my GBPVR box and they are giving the behavior described.

If you want a copy of the batch file I'm trying to get running (even though this problem is global to all batch files on this box), I could pull the batch file out of here for you.

This could be it....... I'll check it as soon as I can get to my box again!

Yeah, they're in there. Darn, I hoped that would be it.

It sounds like the contents of the batch files are not being passed to cmd.exe properly so it may not be "associated" properly. Have a look at this page:
http://discussions.virtualdr.com/archive...46872.html

and either use the .reg file shown or if you'd rather do it manually (like I probably would Smile ) just check each of those registry keys on your system to see if anything is missing. I would start by checking the following reg key:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\batfile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

It sounds like your .bat files are associated with cmd.exe (otherwise the command window wouldn't open) but the bat file is not being passed as a parameter.

Let us know if you fix the problem.

Cheers

Another promising solution!!!!!! And it didn't work. I'll keep on looking as well. I'm glad someone was even able to find anything on this. In all of my searching I've had no luck. Helps to have the right search terms.

And using the search terms "bat file association" I came to this site almost immediately! And this one worked. It looks to be very similar (didn't look too close) but the one you posted may have been for 2000. Either way, thanks a million!!!!!

Glad it pointed you in the right direction! I did try Googling for other solutions but as you said, the trick is finding the right search terms.

Glad you got it sorted.

Cheers
