Just downloaded GBPVR10016.msi and am getting the above error on the install on a WinXP PRo SP2B system.

I have re-downloaded the file several times using both Firefox and IE7 and the same error results. Is there something wrong with the download file?

Hi all Smile -

A quick update on this problem: I have successfully downloaded version GBPVR10008.msi and installed that - there were no problems with the file.

Having succeeded with 10008, I tried 10012 again but still the same failure. It definitely looks like a file problem to me.

Is there any chance of getting a corrected version uploaded or am I missing something obvious?

I successfully uploaded 1.0.16 in August 2007 with no errors. Today, I tried to add the EWA plugin and got almost the same error as you (my error was 1334: see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30008). Hopefully the errors are related and the solution to one will give a clue as to the solution of the other problem.

Looks like the problem has occurred in the past. See thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...abs.w1.cab

I downloaded 1.016 and compared it to the one I downloaded in august. It is not identical, there are a few bytes that differ. So I guess the old problem occurred again.

Thanks for checking - I guess we will have to wait for a file update Wink

As an aside, I think it would be useful if a MD5 checksum was published alongside the download link - this would enable a quick check to be made to see if the file is corrupted and also to confirm that the copy downloaded is as the author intended - a lot of sites are now doing this.

I have the same issue. Downloaded in IE7, FF and Opera, same issue, same corrupt Cabs.w1.cab file and error 1335 when trying to ignore it.

Anyone have any mirror sites witha confirmed working installer? This is highly annoying, and I really want to get this machine back up and running.

I cant think how the file would have becomed damaged, but I'll upload it again. Try again in about five minutes.

I just tried as well, and now I am getting the 1335 error instead of 1334. Could there be anything on my computer that would cause the cabs.w1.cab file that is being downloaded to repair my 1.0.16 version of gbpvr to become corrupted as it downloads? It happens when it is downloading to the gbpvr\web directory? Could it be my firewall?

Installation successfully repaired! In my attempt to solve the problem, I had done a system restore to yesterday before I tried to reinstall\repair the installation and continually got the 1335 error. I undid the system restore and tried to repair again and it worked.

Thanks Sub!

I've been having the problem as well, was ready to give up. Just downloaded the program again, and it installed okay . . .
