I have found that under 1.0.16 that if I start a video from the "video library" button that after the video starts, all inputs from the remote are ignored. I can't pause, rewind, mute, change volume, etc. I can still control video with mouse and keyboard. If I start a video that I have played before using the remote, I can't use the remote to choose either the "resume" or "start over" button; however, if I use the mouse to choose, I appear to now regain remote function and use as I had under previous versions.

Is there any fix for this problem? or is it something with my setup?

What type of video are you playing? .avi .mpg or something else?

They are .avi video files.

Its probably because you're using the divx decoder, which is reknowned for stealling the application focus and switching it to its funny little tray app thing. Most people just uninstall the divx decoder, and install an alternative decoder like the xvid one.

Alternatively there is some info on the divx forums for killing the tray app.

ok, I'll try that; but why did it work under older versions of GBPVR? I did not change the decoder between versions.

I dont know, but thats the only reason I know of that can cause these symptoms, and we've had users report this every so often ever since this divx tray icon was introduced about two years back.

OK, I'll try it with an .mpg file to see if it works correctly.

Yeah, that'll be it then.

Same problem effects tons of apps when using the divx decoder.

I get this issue on mpg files. Sometimes the hauppauge remote works fine, but now (in the last 2 months) 95% of the time we can't do any pause/ff/rew at all when watching from the video library. I have tried the fix haupauge remote button and it doesn't change anything. This is an HVR 1600 card.
