I'm using the zap2xml scraper and have noticed a micue in programming just every once in a while. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same?
I don't understand the caching business so well but wonder if this might have something to do with it. I would think it would be better to just load all new data everytime but don't want to burden them any more than necessary. I would hate to think that they would somehow take steps to stop the scrapers because of "abuse" as was given the reason for the zap2it.labs shutdown.
I've got a seasonal recording for 24 on our local Fox affiliate and last night it recorded one that was actually an infomercial. Now I'm wondering why it doesn't catch the repeats, cause there was one on at midnight or so. Could it actually be so smart as to remember all the old ones and honor my request to not record repeats? I'm not sure I even recorded all the old ones. It must be. I have always installed upgrades on top of the old and the database conversion went well. Ahh, sorry for the tangent.
Today I noticed that on their website it had the Simpsons episodes listed wrong. The one that was supposed to be on at 6 was on at 5:30 and vice versa. Hrm, I guess it's all on their end, I don't know.
It's no big deal I guess and I'll bet they wouldn't mess up any of the real popular stuff.
Cheers
