any chance for that soon?
Hmm.. don't want to change the table design at this point, but I may be able to use the playback position table in the gbpvr.db3 db to provide something like this. I'll take a look and see if something can be included in a future release.

I don't use ISO files. Can you play them with GBPVR already? If so, in the plugin config dialog, simply add .ISO as a file extention, then load into the DB. The only thing you wouldn't be able to do is generate your own thumbnails, but you could retrieve posters, etc from the net using the get image button.

I absolutely love this plug-in Javawiz. A movie plugin just like this makes my HTPC experience complete. The database is very easy to manage, the IMDB scrapes are efficient and mostly accurate, the skin is beautiful and customizable, and the program allows access to all of my ISOs.

I hope that you continue to develop this plug-in.

A couple of suggestions, offered in the spirit of feedback:
1. You may want to add this item to the Wiki in the plug-ins section, so that people who are not roving the forums can find it.

2. Playback of ISOs isn't working exactly right for me. I have been able to play my isos from the Video Library without difficulty for sometime in PVRX2. In addition, using the old Movies plugin, I could easily play the ISOs. In MovieWiz, however, the only ISOs I can play are those that are already mounted from the daemon manager, outside of PVRX2. This is obviously an inconvenience, because it requires walking to the computer and manually taking care of it. I wonder if there is a problem when moviewiz hands off the ISO to GBPVR to play that doesn't allow it to be mounted properly in the virtual daemon. I know that you don't use ISOs on your system, but if you get some time, I hope you are able to have a look at this. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Once again, a great plugin. Thanks.

Ok, as time allows, I will investigate how to get ISOs to play. If GBPVR plays them successfully, I suspect sub has some interface that I am not aware of that allows developers to play them as well.

You should be able to use the IPluginHelper.PlayDVDFromISO(...) call.

No, the movies you add will be in the Movie Wiz list, not in the Recordings list.

I have been able to play ISO files from movie wiz. But after a reinstallation of the OS and only the 1.0.5 version, it doesn't work.
Maybe it was just luck in the older versions of movie wiz (or that I had 1.0.08 of gbpvr then).
Most of my movies is in iso so I hope that subs post is a help. Smile

Posted new version (1st post in this thread).

10/08/2007 : 1.0.6.0
* In plugin, only display categories that have movies assigned.
* In config, provide preview image capability AFTER list is loaded.
* Include Right.png and Left.png in install
* On load of new movie, set categories based on genres from imdb.
* On load, fix bug where search failed on directory "System Volume Information"
* On the Mgmt tab, you can dbl-click the the titles to Hide/Unhide movies from displaying in plugin. This will keep movie from showing up in the load list each time, but will NOT display in plugin at runtime.
* Add ability to play .ISO files

Have you tried the iso-play? It does not work for me. In Video library it works, though...
Do you use the path to daemon tools given by config.xml?? It's in "c:\program\daemon tools\" in my case...

Thought it might have to do with the resume feature. But it does not work when I turn that off either.
