It's being discussed on this thread and I'll announce it on this thread when we're done. XGuide is done, XSearch is almost done but XRecord has a ways to go to be fully skinnable.

The current version of XRecord on the wiki now supports auto-archiving. There's a line as follows in the skin:

<AutoArchiver enabled="false" afterDays="30" intervalHours="8" useVideoPathNumber="1"/>

This means auto archiving is not enabled, recordings are eligible for auto-archiving after they become 30 days old, xrecord will check for recordings to auto-archive every 8 hours and will auto-archive to video path 1 (video paths 1-4 are defined in the XRecord settings tab in config.exe).

Any particular reason these configuration type options are stored in the skins? I think anything that is a configuration option should be stored in the configuration file.

That's what I thought too before starting but I wrote the auto archiving thread by copying and modifying the existing drive status thread code which gets its thread interval from the skins. Just keeping the code consistant. There are a number of things that could be moved from the skin to the config file such as password file attributes, converter/transcoding attributes as well as these thread attributes.

I won't be able to do any such code reorganization any time soon since I'm starting a new/old job on Jan 2nd. I'm going back to the company where I was working a year ago so my couple weeks in between jobs is coming to an end.

Yeah...it's left over code from when Jorm was writing and maintaining XRecord. Never did agree with configuration options in skins, just seems messy.
