First of all, this is a great piece of software.

Sometimes, and it seems like if PVRX2 v1.0.16 has been running for couple of weeks, then a recurring recording sometimes hasn't recorded during it's time. As I troubleshoot, I put a show in the pending queue, about 1 hr later, but it will not record either.

Manual recording - ok

restarting of recording service - no difference

stop/restart of program elements - no change

reboot - all ok

I'm not sure what to pkg up and send for logs, but evidently I need to do this prior to rebooting?

Sorry for being dense on the log point, since this software just works for me, I sometimes forget, when what I really want is to veg...

Yeah, best to zip up the entire logs directory immediately after you notice the problem. Post the logs and the name/time of the show that wasnt recorded.

Depending on if the logs contains the info I need, I may need to come back to you to ask for log flushing to be enabled, then repost when it next occurs.

Yeah, I never posted this. I noticed the recurring recordings are case sensitive (in the EPG the case is not consistent). I just made two recurring recordings for the same show. They end up in the same subdirectory and as such in the video library they are all together but not in the GBPVR database and thus on the recordings page.

Maybe this is what is happening.

SUB maybe this can be changed in a future release?

Koen, are you still running an old release? I'm fairly sure this was changed in one of the 1.x releases.

Yes SUB, I am still on the 99.12. Stayed there because of too much travel going on lately (work) and did not want to take the risk that something would not work - WAF - ya know.

Ok, but at least you know the feature is waiting for you if you need it.

At the time it needed to start your recording, the drivers for your capture device were not present on your machine. What capture devices do your have in your machine? This seemed to be the problem with your second Hauppauge PVR150/250/350/500 device.

There have been a couple of reports in the past from other Hauppauge owners of this happening. It sounds like some bug in the Hauppauge drivers.

there is a 350 (drivers loaded from this CD) and a 150, which was installed into the PC about 3 months later. Does the log indicate which is the "2nd device"?

Hmmm, the Recording Status lists them as
PVR 250
PVR 350
in that order...
GBPVR 1.2.13 / mvpmc20070720
Intel Pentium 4 @2.8 gHz, 768mb ram, Win XP Home SP2
PVR500 , 3 MediaMVP clients
