EPG Utility: YApi2XML (discontinued)

First - Thank you for providing a great free EPG alternative.

The YApi2Xml documentation and options hint at the use of I-xmltv with the EPG yapi2xml generates. Does anyone have an updated I-xmltv batch file that will work with yapi2xml's EPG output? If not, are there any alternatives to I-xmltv that would work well with yapi2xml's EPG output?

I need my session and episode information back!

I never used ixmltv so what information goes where? I can probably arrange it so yapi2xml can do it as long as it currently has the information (and it seems to have just about everything).

Also, the version of i-xmltv I expected it to work with was the version special made for whurlston's yahoo program

It appears they have removed the I-xmltv link from the gbpvr.com wiki in favor of a new entry for a Schedules Direct version of I-xmltv (I-xmltvForSD).

The I-xmltv.bat file looks somewhat similar to the old I-xmltv.bat file. I tried to modify it to use the epg generated by YApi2Xml, but it appears to be unable to find the information it is looking for in the format it is accustom to with the Yapi2Xml epg.

I would assume that the format is the same as the old xmltv grabber format (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I-xmltv simply re-parsed the epg file the old xmltv grabber scraped and then generated a new epg file with all the additional information included in fields GB-PVR would display.

I have a copy of an old xmltv grabber epg file (19MB), if you would like a sample of what it looked like in raw pre-I-xmltv parsed format.

When you say raw pre-I-xmltv parsed format what do you mean? I was actually kinda just wanting an xmltv file that had been processed by ixmltv so i can see where it puts all the different things. Is this what you have?

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the post-I-xmltv epg (can anyone else assist with this?). What I have is the epg as scraped by the old xmltv grabber; before, being processed by I-xmltv.

Wouldn't it be wise to just output the YApi2Xml EPG into a standard raw xml format that I-xmltv (or now I-xmltvForSD) could work with? Why re-invent the wheel?

Search the YahooXMLTv thread. That version should work for YApi2XMLTv

I just searched through the YahooXMLTv thread (ended up going through the whole thing page by page) and could not find any references to the old YahooXMLTv compatible I-xmltv download (some interesting debate on the pro's and con's of using free vs paid EPG). Did the download reference get removed? Am I just not using the correct key terms to locate it?

Are there any old copies floating around out there that I could get a hold of?

I-xmltv does parsing in a weird way so thats why we can't just output the same format. it checks for certain things that I can't match.

I'll look around some of the developer files and see what I have.

And creeper, yapi2xml still works.
