pvrX2 Crashes on Resolution Change

It seems when i change the resolution on my graphic card to a setting higher than 1280x1024. PVRX2 shuts down and i have a ati Error message. It seems the graphics accelerator shut down. I tried setting the accelerator to a lower setting
it seemed to work once. But i thought i could go to a higher setting on the Graphics card but it seems now i can not get it work on the setting that previously worked.
I have included the log for PVRX2. Their are some errors listed.
Also One things also it does not seem to affect gbpvr at all. I am running the current release.

I assume you mean you're talking about changing the resolution prior to starting PVRX2.exe, not while it's running?

I'm wondering whether your video card doesnt have enough video memory to handle PVRX2's texture requirements at high resolutions. What video card are you using?

I change it before i run the App. I have a 9250 ATI Card. with the lastest drivers installed.
By the way i can change it on the fly with GBPVR. But not with PVRX2.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the PVRX2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

what video renderer to you have it set to in config
if its not vmr9 cutom or fse (this setting only applies to gbpvr.exe)
then you are not comparing apples with apples
as pvr.exe always runs vmr custom (direct 3d) or fse if you change the start up parameters

the short answer is your card peobably cant handle the higher resolution in direct3d

Hi, I Checked on the Video Renderer and changed it from VMR7 to VMR9 and it seems to work good now. I did set my resolution to 1920x1080 and no problems. I was all set to get a different card thinking it could not handle the increased settings.

The video renderer setting isnt used by PVRX2, so that shouldnt have made any difference.

Well you were right, I guess my fix was only temp. I rechecked my setting and they were not 1920x1080 but 1280x1024. so i set them at the higher setting and the Ati Card Crashed. I have included the logs.

Sorry, there isnt anything obvious in the logs. I suspect the card isnt able to handle the large textures used by PVRX2 when running at that resolution. I dont really have any suggestions other than trying another video card.
