Stand alone MovieWizManager is a great idea - saves a bit of time and avoids accidentally restarting the recording service by closing the main config using OK.

Looks like a fair amount of users now so I can understand if you were reluctant to do this... but in Manage Content you order the items in the Location combo by FileName... could that be changed to full path order or better still Folder-FileName order (or perhaps make it an option).

As you probably know, I have quite a lot of music movie clips physically ordered like you would a collection of mp3s - tracks within album folders. Filename order means that my 'Albums' are all mixed up in the Location combo - As my collection grows, adding a new album becomes more time consuming, since I have to scroll through the location combo to find each of the new tracks to categorise and create thumbnails etc - if they were in Path or Folder/Filename order, they would be grouped together.

This might benefit any 'Series' collectors too.

Currently the 'play all' function exists when the category is selected, Would it be possible to enable a 'play all from this selection onward' when a movie clip within a category is selected. And when a stop button is selected, the last playing movie clip entry will remain selected. This will simulate a playlist where user wants to play all file from one selection onward, and can stop the list and restart from another movie clip entry by scrolling down the list and play from that entry onward.

Hope that I have explained my point clear. Thanks for your consideration

IMHO making the 'Play' function default to 'Play all from here' would be the logical way to do it. I can't think of any downside to doing this.

Another suggestion is to have selectable skin for moviewiz, in my scenario, I would only want to display only the title of movieclips and not showing IMDB nor thumbnail. Is it possible to have this as a configurable item.

Thanks

As you know, I have a collection of video clips organised like an mp3 collection. I use the filename '01 - Intro' for the wee bit at the start of program. This means that I have several '01 - Intro's in my library.

This does not affect useability, but it does spoil the appearance (negative WAFSad). When I scroll down through the contents of All Movies I get the following...

I was thinking of adding an option to ONLY display categories, ie. allowing you to NOT show All Movies, but only the categories that were setup. Would this help?

That seems to be pretty close to what the stock Video Library function provides. Not sure I want to duplicate that here.

I think he's talking about the disappearing names - I have that with TV series as well its very confusing not sure if it is a feature or bug ;0)

Also and this is nitpicky but the arrows on the Filter/Category show left right but the functionality is actually up down (left right moves to the next entry section), it catches me a lot.

Finally (ok you know its a good plug-in when there are 18 pages of comments in a few days) with the ctrl-y/yellow button control can the focus stay in the movie area (or wherever it was) rather than revert up to the category area.

Cheers,

I also find this strange. left/right arrows work by up down buttons!? Brain doesn't work well at that!

Great plugin. I usually don't use plugins as I like to keep it simple. However, I have movies on different drives. Great to be able to have one list.

I had that going on too, I checked out my database and there was a messed up entry. I went and found it and manually deleted it and the problem went away... check for multiple entries.
