I've attached the two logs as requested.
Some more possible clues:-
I'm on Caradon Hill transmitter - 30 miles away - but I can't receive Plympton which is only 1/4 mile away as I'm in the shadow of the hill with the Tx, but Caradon is line of sight.
I normally get very good reception and all my other freeview receivers are working well.
When I first lost some of the EPG I switched to the Radio times XMLTV and this worked OK for two days. After a new XMLTV download GBPVR couldn't see any information at all and when I used a reader it reported "Not a valid Radio Times file" even though it could still read the earlier file. Both XMLTV files seem to have all the information when viewed with Notepad. Now, of course I can't do any further tests as GBPVR can't tune even in XMLTV mode.
