I will do more testing later but with the same datafile pulling from the same source (as its the same file) it now doesnt update. I specified 3 seconds as 1 second created speed network issues and ended up with more black images than anything.
While i'm here i notice you have have archives, there would be a VERY VERY good function here (might need a slight re-write) but if you could specifiy it to store EVERY image or say ever 2nd or 3 rd image (or even every 10th) image and lob that into an archive that would be NICE (and means i can get rid of a DOS script i have to do that for me).
Also to then allow a number of images to be stored liek say 5 or 10 or 20 so you have "image1.jpg" and so on to image5.jpg then when the new one arrives it shunts them all down one and deletes the last one. This then turns this in to a really good CCTV monitoring system that can be used by other software like websites to look at 5 or 10 images of history.
