Hibernate question.

My hibernate issue is that when it comes out of hibernate (whether it's done automatically or manually), my hauppauge pvr usb2 becomes inoperable (which is why IR stops working). A reset is usually waht I have to do to get back to "normal". I'm thinking of dropping hibernate all together and just stick to a standby solution--but i don't like that my computer doesn't get much of a "rest" if i were to do that.

i know that microsoft's power management aint that hot, so it's probably not a GBPVR issue. Any thoughts?
