UPDATE..

Ive just managed to STOP the GBPVR service, thats 70 mins of a locked program.

There are no 3 files in the location you wanted me to check, listed below....

Very strange indeed.....

Ok....Do you have any plugins installed in the gbpvr\plugins directory? if so, for grins copy them over to the web\bin directory.

i have the weather plug in, having said this, i tested this same setup with NO plugins and the identical happened other the "other" live box.

But for tests you like me to "copy" the dll file to the bin directory, just in there or inside the folder in there?

Yes....just copy the .dll file that is in the gbpvr\plugins directory to the gbpvr\web\bin directory.

Wait....I just noticed something....the highlighted words above....do you have another directory(s) under the gbpvr\web directory or do you only have gbpvr\web ?

copied the DLL however it was inside a folder (as this is how v1.0.16 works) but i put the dll right into the bin directory itself.

same result, will take the next 70 mins for the GBPVRRecordingS program before i can unlock it.

Did you see my other post.....do you just have gbpvr\web\bin or do you have an additional folder under the bin directory?

taken me a while, each time i do this GBPVRRecordingsS hogs 100% CPU which effectivly crashes the laptop which means pulling the power, i cant terminate the process as its owned by someone else (probs .NET).

anyway............

the copied DLL into the \web\bin directory did nothing new (still locked).

i have a number of directories in the web folder but none inside the bin folder (see enclosed image, theres one missing on the bottom called "js", it didnt fit on the screen.

what i meant by a folder inside the BIN is the now the plugins cant just sit INSIDE the plugins folder they need to be inside a folder in there, so the weather dll file is in "\plugins\weather\weather.dll" but i took the dll from the folder weather and placed it inside the BIN folder, instead of taking the whole weather folder.

Also if you have enough time you can then open the CONFIG, turn off the web admin then close it (takes about 5 mins) that will stop the CPU usage, however if you then open it again to turn it on, its still a 5 min project, and the webside still doesnt work.

Its at this point once its broken it needs to be removed and re-installed as a perminant fix.
