ATI Fire VGA Card Problem

Unless you have VGA or DVI inputs, you can't.
You could get one of those tv output boxes and connect that up through s-video / composite.
I use one of these on my client pc, and gives better tv quality (s-video) than the nvidia or ATI cards TV outs that I've used in it previously.

Oki back to the begining.
Since I can't find a AGP/PCI Video card with S-Video under $50, I thought of looking in to this.

1) So you get a better quality from this converter, rather than a Video card with S-Video, right?
2) Will this converter work with any Video Card?

1) Well, I found that the quality of the S-video out was better out-of-the-box with my converter than my Nvidia 5200 or Radeon 9250 (budget cards)

2) Yes - you just plug the converter into your VGA out port and then plug the svideo cable from the converter to the TV.
You can hook up a monitor to the converter if you want.

EDIT: That video card you are using is not likely to be able to run PVRX2 - as it's quite old and needs to be directX compliant to use X2.
Maybe it would be better to go the video card route. What are you going to be using this PC for?

I'm building a PVR. (No HDTV or anything fancy, Just regular Analog Cable)

I am pretty sure this will not handle PVRX2 - but it may be OK to use the old GBPVR interface with overlay. You would have to check. Maybe someone else on the forums has tried?

Just so you know before making any purchases, as not being able to run PVRX2 means that you probably won't be able to upgrade past the next version (as Sub has said the GBPVR.exe interface will not be included soon)

So what kind of a Video card do I need to buy? (AGP or PCI)
Also how can I find out before I buy the card that it will support PVRX2?

Thats an 8X AGP card, but you would obviuously only be able yo run it at 4X on that m/b. 128 MB ram.
Either that or the ATI Radeon 9250 - these are pretty much the same cards, but I found the TV-out to be better on the ATI Radeon.

Check Ebay - I saw some buy now prices from $20 - 50.

watching Live TV and Recorded shows?

Also can I use future versions of GBPVR?

Even though I'm looking for a cheap card I would like to use it for atleast next 2 years without having to upgrade. :-)
