To be honest I'm unlikely to add this, it kind of goes against the "liveness" of WebCams. The WebCams are not updated unless the plugin is active and has the focus.

There maybe some Windows based software that would be able to do somthing like this. If you wanted to view the pics through GB-PVR you could put them in the archive or a directory of the Picture Library. Try and Google for some webcam software or software that can grab an image off the web at a certain time.

BUG FOUND (latest version 3)

Name = CCTV - Parking
URL = http://192.168.1.231/cgi-bin/video.jpg
username = web
password = [blank]
time = 5 seconds

There isnt a password which is what [blank], so the actual password box has nothing in it when its saved... When saving its ok, re-open config and the username has jumped to the password box.... The cam never works either...

Also whats the "local" checkbox for?
Many Thanks
Ashley

Will take a look, probably a simple bug in the config app load/save.

From the wiki:
"If the URL is to a file on your own PC or network then check this box. This is for use with your own WebCam software or security applications."

You would think this software would be common............ ive been looking for about a year, NEVER found anything, i want to save the last 10 images, cant do it.... well not for webcam streams anyway.. still looking, looks like theres been no real need for anyone to write one.
Many Thanks
Ashley

Ok, so why would this plugin need to know if its local or not? Might sound like a daft question that but the whole point of a URL is its a "universal resource locator" meaning it will handle the where abouts... :confused:
Many Thanks

If unticked its expecting http://www.cam.com/pic.jpg
If local is ticked it's expecting c:\path\to\pic.jpg

Just makes the processing easier.

Absolutely <G>. Having been a beta tester for some of his plug ins I can speak to McBains dedication to his software. He really works hard to constantly improve the features as well as the UI.

Sorry, just had to give you a plug since I really have enjoyed working with you. Big Grin
