I've been having a 'healthy argument' with a duff tuner for the last couple of days, so just got around to trying out 1.0.10.0 tonight...

Can't get past the read-only database problem...:o as suggested by dark_half and tested by iwan I copied
1) WizUiHelper.DLL
2) WizWebHelper.DLL
3) HtmlAgilityPack.DLL
to gbpvr\ but still no joy. Perhaps I missed something...

I then backed up my db did a clean install of 1.0.10.0 - I was thinking I would add a few movies, see how the db structure had changed - manually change a copy of my own db and copy it back in... I still got the R/O problem with config and MovieWizManager on the clean install - so much for my big ideas...

For those of you having problems with the most current version:
  • Stop PVRX2 and Recording Service
  • unzip the attached DLLs into the common directory.
  • Remove the versions that you've placed in the GBPVR directory
  • Restart Recording Service and PVRX2
See if that helps, I think maybe it's a problem with the versioning on the DLLs.

Cool, thanks! Yeah I know, but I'm trying to avoid doing the config thing manually. Good luck with your new job btw!

k.
Ok, found the problem, will be fixed in version 1.10.1

Still no joy... so I decided to return to base.

I closed gbprvtray, stopped recording service, removed all spurious dlls from gbpvr\, clean installed 1.0.10.0, closed gbprvtray, stopped recording service, installed the 2 new dlls into plugins\common, started gbpvrtray, restarted recording service.

I then tried config and MovieWizManager and got errors on both - logs attached. I hope this helps...

same here, funny thing is I even got the all too well known errors after copying the 'new' dlls to the gbpvr folder instead of plugins/common. After changing back to the old versions everything works fine (again).

JavaWiz Wrote:I've created a new version of MovieWiz, but I'm not going to post this one on the Wiki. I've made some significant changes in the IMDB lookup, the MovieWiz DB and a new Client mode feature.

I'll leave it up to those of you who want to beta-test this version to install and try it out. I've taken on a new job, and may not be as responsive as I have in the past due to commitments.

11/06/2007 : 1.0.10.0
  • Fixed navigation on categories control. You can now set which arrow keys nav the list and which ones exit list. See doc (in ReadMe.txt) for details.
  • Completely rewrote MovieInfo lookup routines.
  • Added Manage Categories feature. This allows you to control the order of files in each category
  • Added setting (settings tab) to control the order the files show up in the config program lists (ie filename or title).
  • Added Client mode. If running on client, you can in the config set the program to read the DB located on the server. Note, you MUST store ALL your movies (and local thumbnails) with UNC names.
New version 1.10.1.0. Hopefully has fixed the install problems....

JW,

When I run the Movie Wiz Manager (New version 1.10.1.0) as a standalone it seems to be looking for the WizWebHelper.dll and HtmlAgilityPack.dll in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\.

When I copied these from C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\Common to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\ it worked.

The new version works fine now. Thanks. But the standalone is looking for dlls in the gbpvr-directory. The files is wizwebhelper.dll and HtmlAgilityPack.dll.
And this version of MovieWiz breaks the functionality for the CinemaListing plugin! I wonder which plugin is "tha bad one"...

Same here. MovieWizManager standalone is running fine after copying a couple of dlls into the gbpvr - folder.
GBPVR-Config crashes, though:

The IMDB-Lookup is working much, much better now. Especially the AKA-Lookup ist working nearly flawlessly.
Feature Request: What I'd like to see is an 'Alternatives' Button associated with the 'Lookup Image' Button, working like the 'Alternatives' Button associated with the 'Lookup Detail' Button. Any chance of seeing this ?
