From http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb262650.aspx

Quote:Typically, the EVR is not installed on a computer running Microsoft Windows XP. The EVR is not part of Windows XP itself, and installing Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP does not install the EVR. In some cases, however, a computer running Windows XP might have the EVR installed. For example, installing Windows Presentation Foundation on Windows XP results in the EVR being installed as well.

ok.

Everything I've seen has indicated it is installed with .net 3.0, which I'm fairly sure installs the Windows Presentation Foundation.

It is according to the ownload site
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en

Quote:The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 is the new managed code programming model for Windows®. It combines the power of the .NET Framework version 2.0 with new technologies for building applications that have visually compelling user experiences, seamless communication across technology boundaries, and the ability to support a wide range of business processes. These new technologies are Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows CardSpace.

I found that I also needed to regsvr evr.dll to get it functioning after installing .net 3.0 in XP. In case it helps anyone else, I also found you need to turn of dxva acceleration if you're trying to get this working in XP, it's not compatible. Doing this got the files rendering OK in graphedit.

That said, while it's working fine in graphedit it doesn't function in GB-PVR - just get a light grey screen and no sound regardless of media file tried (h.264, xvid, mpeg etc).
