I using version 1.0.16 with a Hauppauge HVR-1600 and occasionally have recording problems which seem to fit the Pvr-150 timestamp problem. Has this issue been seen in the HVR-1600 before?

I've recorded one hour programs that playback at a much faster rate and the time line shows the duration as 20 or 35 minutes and two hour movies that appear as one hour long and playback fast. I've also seen brief (one second or so) jumps in recordings that are otherwise OK. Most of my recordings are fine though.

Does this sound like the timestamp issue? I haven't found any other postings that fit my problem.

Thanks.

Updating with more info:
The affected files have too few frames for the program's duration according to gspot. The 20 minute has ~ 38,000 frames instead of the expected 108,000.

Kind of sounds like the timestamp problem. Was this an analog or digital recording?

Problems were with analog recordings.

When researching what tuner card to buy I thought I had read that the analog portion of the HVR-1600 is the same technology as the PVR-150 so it would make sense if it had the same problems.

Like I said most of my recordings are good so I'm not able to recreate the error. I've been using GBPVr for about three months so I'm still tweaking the settings so I couldn't say what the settings were when the problem recordings were made.

I may just leave it as is to see if the problem reappears in future recordings before I try the PVR-150 fix.

Thanks for the response.

Given it is analog, it does sound like the same problem, but I dont know if the HVR1600 drivers would have that same fix. I've not seen other reports of it with this device. Its only ever been the PVR150 in the past.
