I have a Hauppauge 1600. On the digital side, I have the following issue:

Record Show #1
Record Show #2 on same channel

Show #1 is highly pixelated and not really viewable
Show #2 is great.

Same channel, same card (I only have one digital card).

Thoughts?

FYI : Show #1 today was the Argentina South Korea game which i couldn't view because of how bad it was pixelated.

Did you look at all of show #1 to see if it was pixelated all the way through? Does this happen consistently with all back to back recordings?

it happens consistently throughout the file. I don't know why it'd be a signal issue since recording #2 is on the same channel

Does it always happen on back to back recordings? Does it happen only on that one channel?

I wish I could help you with Qam but I use ATSC and satellite on my system. I would recommend that you search the forums for Qam issues with any card you consider.
