Recordings not playing back properly - incorrect recording length

I've encountered a few issues lately with recordings showing unusual characteristics when played back. On 2 occasions shows that are 1hr long are showing a length of approx 18 - 30 mins when played back and pressing FFwd to the end of the recording it does have the full 1hr recording. If I watch the show without pressing FFwd it does take an hour to play back so the times are messed up somehow. If I try and play the video files elsewhere they appear to be perfect.

Any suggestions why GB-PVR seems to have an issue?

there is a problem with them when the time line is wrong for some reason its been going on ever since i started using gbpvr (not just a gbpvr problem)
you have to do registry edit

Thanks for that. It's not an issue I've encountered before but it obviously is a common one!
