Erik,

I did change to verbose=11 but am not seeing any log file. I have changed the value to 600, but appears like comskip is not even starting. Any thoughts? Thanks

does it work if you do it post processing
have you got the comskip file in the correct place so it can be found?

When you set verbose=11 in the comskip.ini file and you do not see a log file generated then comskip can not find its ini file for some reason.
Or you did add verbose=11 to the end of the ini file and comskip is using the easlier setting in the ini file.
For testing, could you put comskip.ini in the windows directory?

I changed the existing verbose line.

Did this, then did a manual comskip by dragging file on top of the comskip exe file. Comskip ran fine but no log file, other than the log file (named "30 Rock_20071115_19302000.log") saved to the videos directory.

Any ideas? Thanks.

That is the log file I am looking for, save in the video's directory.
This because you could run many instances of comskip at the same time.

Erik,

Here is the file. Comskip works when run manually like I did to get this file. Let me know if you need more. Thanks.

Thanks for the log file, however, everything works when you run comskip manually.
Could you have comskip invoked as normal while a recording is ongoing?
I like to see the log file create when comskip is started during recording.

Erik:

I have seen the same thing, I think. Comskip works fine post-processing, but for whatever reason it does not show up in the task manager during recording with dvr-ms format. Starts fine with Cyberlink MUX. Just change MUX to dvr-ms, make sure output to edl is turned on, change the retries to 120, make sure live output is on, and reboot the machine. So, therefore, no logs until after the show is complete, and then all is normal and comskip completes teh task normally.

I will try again tonight with retries set to 200.

Thanks
Chuck

I verified on tonight's game that Comskip is not running (about 1.5 hours into the game). No Comskip shows up in the task manager. Ran fine with Cyberlink. Possibly a gbpvr issue, as it must start Comskip, right?

No log files or other files started in the folder with the dvr-ms file of the active recording.

I just checked and there is logic that only allows it to run in parallel on recordings that have the .mpg file extension. This was sensible logic when it was added a couple of years back since there was no possibility of running comskip on dvr-ms files in live mode back then.

You can get around this by creating a ParallelProcessing.bat file, and running it from there.
