looks good, just wondering why did you do another build of "weather" i updated it a while ago to v2.21 and that has enough skinning in it for most skins.  most people seemed to have upgraded to this version, if you want more skinning added to it, i would be more than happy to add it.  i just dont like the idea of 2 weather plugins for 2 skins.

update: just downloaded it, and looked at the weather skin, you were skinning for the older weather plugin. download v2.21 and that should have more than enough skinning options for you.

I was skinning/modding 2.05. Didn't know there was a 2.21. Guess I'm out of date. Heh.

yeah i completely redid the skinning for the weather plugin, for the same reason, you couldnt skin it at all. now the skinning is similar to the "my " series of plugins.

Ok I updated the skin to 0910-1. It is ported to Weather 2.21 and drops the custom DLL.

ok/select - i didnt make this popup the menu since what if you wanted to the popup menu for a folder? would you still press ok/select? that means play would have to open a menu, kinda wierd. (i changed in the irremote.ini file menu to {f11} and go to {home} so my "menu" button pops up the menu, and "go" takes me back to the main menu).

the whole point of having the "play dvd" button inside my videos is so that you dont have to have another button for "play dvd" on the main menu. if you dont want it to be displayed on the main menu but in my videos, and you uncheck "show dvd button" then if my videos looked for this it also wouldnt appear in my videos. im probably going to make it so you can configure which buttons you wish to show in the skin (not in the config, since the button positions are defined in the skin, with a simple visible="true" attribute).

you could do this yourself if you have access. just create a database with the same fields and all the same tables into one file. then just change the connection strings to point to that single database. i did it this way because some people might not be using every plugin. also im knew to database and knew there were going to be problems here and there (there have been a few problems so far, where the old database had to be deleted and replaced with a new one.)

just thought id comment on the comments, kinda looked like you wanted feedback, and just to let you know i read it and thought about it. blah blah blah

but yeah ill probably make it configurable which menu buttons are shown.

DVD... Yeah I didn't think of that. I have an external DVD player and therefore won't use the PC for DVD playback. That is why I made the comment. I guess I don't understand why I should want to mix DVD functionality and local video file functionality - except for copy/rip/transcode.

i just put the "play dvd" "rip dvd" in my videos, so i didnt need to have two more button the main menu, it gets kinda full. and it fits there even more now, with the dvd burning integrated into my videos.

ok ive added "visible="true"" to the menu buttons in the skin.xml file. so you can now configure which menu items to show. updated in myvideos 2.0.4.0

if the visible attribute isnt there it will show the item by default.

I haven't installed it yet (tonigt), but it looks good.

I read your wiki, it does seem that skinning should be a simple as CSS in html, doesn't it?
