Updated version of Blue-Retro-SHV skin is now available on the wiki

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Skin/Blue-Retro-SHV

Updated for GB-PVR(PVRX2.exe) 1.1.5, some new TaskImages & slight alteration to some screens.

Thank you to all of you that have tried it out as it has given me the incentive to continue updating it for public distribution. Smile

NOTE: While sub with the release of 1.1.5 has fixed the problem with TaskImages not displaying correctly when a different skin is selected for the MVP to the current skin you now MUST select a skin for the MVP (change it from 'Default') for the TaskImages to display correctly.

Thanks for that - with a new baby in the house these last couple of months, this skin has definitely let me get on to PVRX2 a lot earlier than it would have taken otherwise!

Just a relatively unimportant note - I had updated some of the skin to 1.1.5 yesterday, and spotted that sub had added the <wrap="false"> parameter to a number of details views in the recordings skin.xml and the searchpopup.xml, as well as correcting "conflicts where found.." to "conflicts were found" in the conflictpopup file - probably not too important, but I altered your skin to match on my machine, and have attached the appropriate files in case you feel like doing so too.

thanks again for the skinning work,

cheers,
tieke

Jaggy,

Thanks for the hard work. Task images are working correctly now.

I took another look at the wiki and noticed something startling. 63 recordings of The Nanny?!?

The Nanny!?!

Oh, really!

Glad to hear it helped someone else Smile

Thanks for that I have just updated the zip on the wiki with your bug fixes Smile

It's me that should be thanking you here as without your FBHV skin I wouldn't be using gbpvr at all!
I was very disappointed after all the hassles I had to get gbpvr working to find I had to get up from my chair every time I wanted to read something on the screen & just about tossed it all in! Then I discovered your FBHV skin & all was readable from my chair & the WAF also went skywards so this is a belated THANK YOU Big Grin

Big Grin I'm going to use the old tried & tested excuse that every other husband in the world uses "they are for the wife!!" Rolleyes but I must admit while I hated The Nanny (what was it 20/30 years ago) I find I can watch & enjoy them now when I'm in zombie mode & don't want to watch anything I have to use my brain for Wink

Thanks for this skin! Now I don't need to get out of bed and walk closer to the TV to read the TV Guide. The WAF went way up with this skin.

My weather plugin screen is kind of messed up, it only shows half the screen. Any ideas what I need to do to fix it?

Thank you for the comment & the all important WAF is what it's all about eh? Smile Getting up to read is a pain isn't it? I know all about it as a couple of weeks ago our 29" TV decided to let the bees out (at least it wasn't the smokeRolleyes) so we have had to use our old 20" & I have found reading stuff on the screen a real pain! (which reminds me I must go & get my eyes tested again soon)

Hmm as I said on the wiki I don't use any plugins of this type, but I have just downloaded & installed the Weather plugin on my test machine & apart from having to copy the Weather skin directory from the blue skin directory into my Blue-Retro-SHV directory to allow it to work everything displays correctly for me both on the PC & over the MVP  I must say I'm very impressed with it as a plugin & will probably start using it myself Smile

Can you give me some more details of what you are using & what you are seeing or even better a screen shot??

I changed SelectedSummary size to "90,30" - now shows 4 lines of text - it improves readabilty for me.

Re: from this post
Quote:The reason I ask is I myself use the vertical category list & have changed the skin to match but the default is the horizontal list & I just know if I make two different skins (one for distribution & one for my own use) I will include the wrong one at some stage in the future!
I would go with vertical as the default (we both know it is more logical) Big Grin

OK I will admit it "I'm lost" have I downloaded the wrong Weather plugin as I can't find "SelectedSummary" in the skin file??

Big GrinLOLBig Grin I agree totally, problem is the keymap file has to be changed as well as the skin file!
