I am very new to this software. Have my WinTV-HVR950 and tried this software to record ATSC signals. The video looks fine, but the audio is none. I use MediaInfo to view the mpg file, no audio track at all!??? What am I doing wrong? Please advice. BTW, when played, there is no sound in any players. Media Player Classic, VLC Player... None... video is fine, no sound.

???

Thanks for your help.

I figured that out... I chose now TS instead of Cyberlink and it works beautifully. Sub, if you don't mind, I am really a newbee here... can you point me, when recording, how to enable the skipping of commercials? Show I choose Comskip.exe? Does it allow skipping commercial during recording? Is it an additional program I need to download or does it already come with GBPVR? I don't seem to be able to get it to work.
Also, as far as ATSC recording, is there a quality setting I need to change, it says "Medium" right now on the GBPVR Recording screen. Should I ignore it?

Thanks again for your help.

Most ATSC users just stick to the Microsoft DVR-MS mux.

It doesnt come with GBPVR. You need to download comskip.exe from http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/ and put it in your gbpvr directory. After each recording completes, GB-PVR will run comskip to identify the ad breaks. When you later play back that file it'll automatically jump over those sections identified as ads.

The quality setting is ignored when recording with a digital device. The new PVRX2 interface doesnt bother showing this setting if you've only got digital capture sources.

Sub, wow, thank you. thank you for your quick responses. As far as the quality, that makes me feel really good. I thought I was crazy to see such a beautiful medium quality. Haha... Thanks for now.

GB-PVR newbie and I'm starting to have this problem

Rig:
Hp A643n
2.0ghz AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1gig ram
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb (DVI to HDMI)
VisionTek ATI 550 Pro
DVD/CD R/RW
Windows XP Pro SP2

Now I had GBPVR and the 550 Pro in a dell optiplex 240 before and didn't have this problem.

Sound is fine in everything but the recordings?

With your analog card, it could just be a playback problem. I'd try other audio decoders.
