Just finished installing GBpvr. Overall GREAT software!! HVR1600 works great with qam and analog. I have 3 questions: 1. When playing back non live HD content in Gbpvr the aspect ratio is 4:3 instead of 16:9. This does not look good. HD Recordings play back fine(16:9) in WMP. Suggestions? 2. GBpvr crashes when I try to view HD content via GBpvr client. Works fine with analog channels and I can stream HD content to this same PC using WMP all over 100btx network wired. Suggestions?
3. Last question. Is there a way to have GBpvr to always start in time delay (pause) mode. I noticed that HD channels play better in time delay (pause) mode. In live mode they are choppy on both audio and video.

Thanks for your help and congrats for an awesome freeware product!!SmileSmile

Make sure you've explicitly selected the video decoder on the playback tab of the config app instead of relying on 'system default', otherwise it cant auto detect the aspect ratio.

Streaming mode is incompatible with the DVR-MS mux, which is usually what US ATSC users end up having to use to get smooth playback.

You can disable live preview mode on the misc tab of the config app. It will mean much slower channel change times though.

Thanks! Both of your suggestions worked. Too bad there is not a way to stream live HD over my network. Hd homerun is too expensive right now.
