Good spotting.
I actually think its a combination of a couple of things. The TV Walker seems to only a allow a PCM bitrate of 32000, wheras GB-PVR is trying to set 48000 - which is valid for it's close relative the Plextor PX-402U.
Also, as you point out, the Intervideo audio encoder isn't compatible with this audio stream from the TV Walker (possibly because of the bitrate). I dont have the InterVideo software installed in the same machine as my TV Walker, so hadn't noticed it.
Try the attached patch which will prefer the HT Audio Encoder for the Walker or Typhoon devices, and will do a much better job with handling audio bitrate discrepencies.
