Hm, maybe I'll just try setting up the EPG again then. I had it all working on the old version then when I went to 1.1.5 it stopped working.

Hit the 'update epg' button in your capture source settings then zip and attach your config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

I went into MCE to XML and removed and re-added my head end data and did a fresh download. It still doesn't show anything in the guide. I'll attach the config.exe.log but here's also a snippet from the latest log entry from the MCE2XML gui which to me indicates it downloaded something (looks like it took a minute and 20 seconds to download, so it downloaded something):
12/13/2007 8:24:29 PM : ********************** 12/13/2007 8:24:29 PM : Manual Update Starting now! 12/13/2007 8:24:29 PM : cmdline: "C:\EPG\MceEpgDownloader.exe" MN65025- 12/13/2007 8:24:29 PM : Downloading MCE EPG data... 12/13/2007 8:25:49 PM : Converting MCE EPG data to XMLTV format... 12/13/2007 8:26:19 PM : Enhancing EPG data... 12/13/2007 8:26:31 PM : 30713 programmes enhanced in 11.79 seconds. 12/13/2007 8:26:31 PM : Completed! After that download I right clicked on the gbpvr icon in the system tray and clicked on Update EPG and it still doesn't show anything in the listings. I was about to just reinstall gbpvr from scratch, but if I can help you debug this, I'll hold off on that for now. If there's anything else I can do to get you more debug data, let me know.

Hm, I just did exactly what you said and did the "update epg" straight from the capture source settings and now the schedule shows up.... any idea why this isn't working from MCE2XML gui automatically? Is there something about that plugin that's not compatible with 1.1.5? FYI - I was on 1.0.16 prior to 1.1.5 and the plugin was installed on 1.0.16.

I dont think it tells GB-PVR to do the EPG update, so you still have to manually initiate an EPG update.

It's this: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/MceEpg2XmlTv and the description is this: ⦠are utilities to help download and convert Vista or MCE EPG for use with GB-PVR. So it's supposed to automate downloading the EPG via Windows Vista Home Premium's built in Media Center and then convert that to XML for gbpvr to use. It always worked on 1.0.16.

I'm fairly sure it only produces the xml file though. You still need to click the 'Update EPG' button, or let the automated EPG update time happen, to make sure that the listings from the xml file are pulled into the application.

Ah, ok, I didn't realize it worked that way. I also just noticed that the "Wake Machine" checkbox was not checked. Since I put my computer to sleep when I'm not using it, it probably hadn't been waking it up to do the update automatically either. Thanks for your help!

Sub is correct, that utility only produces the xml file to be read by GB-PVR.
