Hi,
If I'm understanding this correctly, in the Config > Capture Sources, the first tuner listed is the view/live TV tuner and the second is the primary recording tuner. I have a HVR-1600 so I've set the QAM tuner first, and the analog second.
Up to recently, this has worked very well for me as I preferred to watch in HD, but record to analog and postprocess the files for my mobile device (mostly because it was faster than dealing with the ms-dvr files).
Now, however I've added a HTPC to the mix running Vista Media Center. I'd love the ability to decide which tuners get used for certain shows so I can watch the transferred HD in my family room, but still record select others in analog mpeg/SD for easy and automated post-processing.
For example, I want to record Survivor in HD, but American Dad in SD, which do not conflict time-wise.
I'm using guide data from Vista Media Center using the MCE2XML application. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks!
