OK, I'll try all the different drivers...

Yes, the audio problem is because the quality profile is trying to set 48000, but the Walker wont accept this. After it fail to set 48000, it basically says to the TV Walker 'Ok then, you suggest something you will accept' and uses that.

Hmmm...must be a bug or work around for the drivers, as the application that comes with the walker sets the 48000 audio correctly. It's a minor issue now that the sound is actually working. If I need to convert the audio, I can always resample with FFDShow's audio filter.

Thanks for getting this to work.

Well, DIVX is working, but now MPEG-2 is broken. Had a recording that was setup to record in MPEG2 format at 1pm today. The file is out there but with a 0 byte length. Here is the relevant log information:

Nothing unusual shows up in the regular recordingservice log file.

Here is the scenario so it might shed some light on stuff. I have two recordings that worked fine in DIVX format before the MPEG2 failed, and the DIVX recordings after the MPEG2 failure are working fine. This looks very similar to Hitek's pin connection problems, and because of these errors nothing ever got created.

After reinstalling GB-PVR, and trying the newest Mini, Ultra, and Typhoon drivers, I still get the same problems. Since the removal of the Intervideo encoder does fix Divx, but breaks MPEG2, maybe it would be easier just to tell GB-PVR not to use the Intervideo codec only when recording in MPEG4, but to go ahead and use it with MPEG2? Just a thought, and I am still experimenting.....

I'll try both DivX and MPEG2 tonight.

I see by KingArgyle's log(and my logs) that: In the absence of the Intervideo MPEG encoder and mux, the software tries to connect all of the pins based upon their names in the HT version of the filter. Looking at the logs for MPEG2, I see the output of the HT mux is not being connected to the input of the file writer filter because the software is trying to connect pin &quot;Output0&quot;, which is the name of the output pin on the Intervideo mux, not the HT mux. I think if the graphbuilder tried pin &quot;Output&quot;, then MPEG files would work.... It would be neat if we could specify what filters(and their respective pin info) we wanted to use with which codec, as some filters may be better when encoding MPEG1 than MPEG2 or Divx, for example.... Or when using MJPEG, if we ever get lucky enough to have it implemented(in the distant future) [Image: wink.gif] ......

Thanks, Sub!

While you have your Walker connected, could you see if you also get this error when changing channels in Timeshift mode?
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">20:25:12.557 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Output' to 'Input'

Sometimes it will let me change the channel 5 times, sometimes just once.... Then it kicks back to the main menu and gives me that &quot;usb&quot; related error that I posted a picture of earlier, like it can't find the hardware or something, even though it was just working before trying to change channels.....

Yes, I was able to find a cause of this. This fix cant be provided as patch, but I'll include in the next release.

---

I've attached another updated NativeUtilities.dll which adjust a few things about the Walker support. This one wont give you the pin connection warnings. It'll use the HT Audio Encoder for the Walker/Typhoon, but will use use the Intervideo mux. After performing several test, I've decided the HT mux will result in zero byte files (most of the time). To use the HT Mux filter, you need to set the stream type, which can be done GraphEdit, but cant be done programmatically unless HT provide interface docs (which they dont - well, not to me).

There is a chance this one wont be compatible with v0.90.x, so make sure you backup the original file first.
