I'm guessing the tags have been change in the mp3 files.

No, that would have been an easy fix - the tags are clean. I use mp3tag for tagging, but have also checked them with winamp. The error is only present in ML2, not winamp, not wmp.
Any logs that could help?

Turn on insane logging, and re-scan. It might help if you clear you library (nuke library) first so we can see the tags being read.

What tag reader did you say you were using? Ultraid3? You could try the other one, taglib-sharp and also none of them (will default to wmp). It may be a "feature" of ultraid3.

Nuked library, turned on insane log, 1 restart of gbpvr, rescan, then took the log. It's attached.
The error is still present (with ultraid3lib).
I can't get taglib-sharp (v2.0.217) to work, gives me an error message and config crash.
If I delete either, I also get a gbpvr config crash when initiating the scan where it is apparently looking for taglib-sharp. So using wmp as default doesn't appear to work.

bugger, doesn't tell me what I need. i thought i had an mp3 attribute dump in there. I know for WMP I do. But as you say you can't get that one going.

I'm a noobie and am certain this is something very basic. I tried ML2 due to having a large library of .M4A files and not relishing the idea of converting them all. I installed the 6.7beta copying the appropriate files to both \MusicLibrary2 and the \Common directories. I did the same for the tag-libsharp.dll and when that didn't work for the UltraID3Lib.dll.

The problem I have is that when I access ML2 from PVRX2 nothing shows up. The screen just flashes and goes back to the main menu. I was guessing this is the product of some fault in my skin placement. I'm using the Community3 skin and copied the skin files to \gbvr\skin\Community3\.

The database appears to build just fine though the scan only shows it scanning for mp3 data. It does create a 600k *.db3 file in the \gbpvr directory.

I feel I'm overlooking something small and would appreciate a nudge. I've read the Wiki and this thread. MusicLibrary is working fine. Thanks.

I'm sure this sounds impetuous but I really have been working at this for some time. It did occur to me as I wrote the above to try the Blue skin and it is now appearing in that skin so if you could help me arrange my Community skin files to function I'd appreciate it.

Second, while ML2 is certainly much nicer than ML I'm still unable to play .M4A files. Any ideas? They show up in the blue skin but will not play. Thanks again.

Mine did. I only have two selections in config: blue and community3. Blue works and community3 does not. I've stuck the skins somewhere wrong.

OK, I dont use community skin (yet) so you need to look at your own system, but ML2 likes to have all its skin files in a folder named ...gbpvr\skin\{the name of your selected skin folder}
